North Dakota Trauma Foundation
PO Box 1198
Bismarck, ND 58502-1198

All grant applications must be postmarked by August 16, 2010 in order to be considered. If you have any questions regarding the application, please contact Vicky at (701) 780-5337, Shelly at (701) 323-6501, or Deb at (701) 234-6378. If a grant is awarded, a letter from the NDTF will notify you. It will also explain the information you will need to report regarding the use of grant funds.

In order to fund as many projects as possible, we provide funds on a 1:1 match basis. The Foundation pays up to half the cost of the project and you are responsible to fund the other half. Grant amounts awarded will not be in excess of $1000 per applicant. Please enclose an itemized list of the total cost of all items. Pre-hospital requests for equipment require a letter of approval from the organization’s medical director. If you feel your project is especially worthy, the Trauma Foundation may consider funding more than 50% of the total cost, not to exceed $1000. Please make us aware of special circumstances or needs. We cannot accept incomplete grant applications.

Examples of possible grants funded include education, equipment, injury prevention projects, and special courses presented to an individual squad i.e. Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS). Grant applications may be submitted at any time, but they must be postmarked on or before the set deadline date. The deadline for 2009 grant applications is Friday, August 7th. The grants will be awarded at the annual North Dakota State-Wide Trauma Conference. A member of the granting committee may contact you with questions regarding the grant.

The grant program committee consists of a surgeon, emergency room physician, emergency room RN, trauma coordinator, hospital administrator, RN, pre-hospital providers, and lay persons. Awarded grants are funded through individual/squad memberships and proceeds from past North Dakota State-Wide Trauma Conferences sponsored by the NDTF.
